Do

• Keep fire doors closed
• Make sure you are aware of the fire evacuation procedure for the building you life in
• Turn saucepan handles so they don't stick out and are not over another ring
• Switch off and unplug all appliances which are not designed to be left on

Don't

• Don't let yourself be distracted while cooking
• Don't put oven gloves or tea towels down on the cooker
